To ensure that I could upload a comic quickly after the Best Picture winner was announced, I created two versions of this comic, one if Hurt Locker won and another if Avatar won.

It's an idea I picked up from South Park when they broadcasted About Last Night..., an episode about the Presidental election, literally a day after the results were in. In pre-production, they were planning two episodes, one if Obama won and another if McCain won. However, as the election and the airdate was getting near, they were certain that Obama would win. So, they decided to go full force with the Obama version, ceasing any further development on a McCain version. They've mentioned that had McCain stole the election, they would have broadcasted the completed episode with Obama winning, but with commentary recorded over it discussing how they were certain Obama was going to win.

Even though I was certain Hurt Locker was going to take home the top prize, I still made an Avatar verison so I wouldn't be scrambling to re-write the comic after the annoucement. Here is the Avatar version:
