Being a dorky Simpsons geek, I drew carcitures of two prolific figures in Simpsons lore into this comic, one being a past showerunner (my favourite showrunner, actually) that Bill Oakley (another past showrunner) once said was the funniest guy on the show (with the exception of Conan O'Brien), and the other being a guy who Mike Scully (yet another past showrunner) once said was "the best comedy writer in Hollywood." This gentleman also made a cameo apperance in I Heart Huckabees.

Also, check out the book The Simpsons: An Uncensored Unauthorized History, which goes into detail about the show's historic writers room. It has received mixed reviews, but an interesting read nonetheless. If you're as geeky as me though, I suspect you've already read it.
